The Afghan Air Force has begun its election support by delivering ballots & officials to seven polling locations in remote areas of Northern Afghanistan in Regional Command North.

So far, they have distributed election material to 5 districts supporting 59 polling stations as well as transporting 21 election officials via Mi-17 transport helicopters.

The highest landing zone the AAF has delivered to was 6300 feet above sea level with enroute altitudes of up to 13,000 feet. These election support missions are strategically and politically important for Afghan stability.
