438th bids farewell to outgoing command chief

The 438th Air Expeditionary Wing, Combined Air Power Transition Force said farewell to its senior enlisted leader.

Command Chief Master Sgt. Robert Brooks, who led the men and women of CAPTF for the last year, was feted by Afghan and American Airmen at the Afghan National Army Air Corps base in Kabul June 1, 2010.

Brooks's farewell was preceded by a promotion ceremony for three new CAPTF Master Sergeants. He was elated to be sharing this day with them and his Air Corps counterpart Sergeant Major Eid Mohammad.

Brooks's next assignment will be in the 9th Air Force headquartered at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, S.C.

"You are making a difference," Brooks encouraged the crowd. He also told them that he was going to the 9th Air Force to make a difference for those who serve in Afghanistan.
