U.S. Air Forces Central annual award winners announced

SOUTHWEST ASIA --  The following individuals were named as U.S. Air Forces Central Command's annual award winners for 2009 here March 17.

Airman of the Year:
Senior Airman Gidget Sanders, U.S. AFCENT A2

Non-commissioned Officer of the Year:
Staff Sgt. Hollie Lay, 609th Air Operations Center

Senior NCO of the Year:
Senior Master Sgt. Timothy Green, 380th Air Expeditionary Wing

First Sergeant of the Year:
Master Sgt. Mario Cefalo, 609th AOC

Company Grade Officer of the Year:
Capt. Anthony McCarty, 379th AEW

Field Grade Officer of the Year:
Maj. Aaron Guill, 380th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron

Civilian of the year Category I:
Connie Suitt, HQ USAFCENT A4

Civilian of the year Category II:
Phillip Jones, HQ USAFCENT A5

Sergeants Lay and Cefalo will go on to compete for annual awards in Air Combat Command.
