Airmen reign, shine over weather operations in Iraq
CAMP VICTORY, Iraq -- Air Force Senior Airman Daniel Jamison, weather system support cadre technician assigned to the Combined Air and Space Operations Center in Southwest Asia, teaches Iraqi air force officers how to use a handheld data display connected to a TMQ-53 tactical meteorological observation system during on-the-job training here Aug. 16, 2009. The Iraqi officers learned how to set-up, maintain and break down equipment used to obtain pressure, wind speed and direction, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, precipitation, surface visibility, cloud height and lightning detection. This system will enable the Iraqi lieutenants to provide current weather data to their leadership in support of their missions throughout Iraq. Airman Jamison is deployed from Hurlburt Field, Fla., and is a native of Troy, Mich. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Johnny L. Saldivar)
