Bike your way to health
BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Tech. Sgt. Emmanuel Ramirez, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron power production technician, and Staff Sgt. Rachel Schultz, 777th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Unit hydraulic specialist, cycle on stationary bikes during a class at the Red Tail Fitness Center here, May 31. Besides being a great form of aerobic activity, indoor cycling is also beneficial in strengthening the muscles of the lower body. It tones the quadriceps and hamstrings, along with working the back and hips. Maintaining a healthy, physically fit lifestyle helps Airmen to carry out their daily duties more efficiently in a deployed environment. Sergeant Ramirez is deployed from Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and Sergeant Schultz is deployed from Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Julianne Showalter)
