AFCENT commander visits Liberandos

MANAS AIR BASE, Kyrgyzstan --  U.S. Air Forces Central and 9th Air Force commander Lt. Gen. Gary North toured several base agencies and spoke to base Airmen during his two day visit here May 20 and 21. It was his tenth visit to the base in Kyrgyzstan since taking command 27 months ago.

During his base wide commander's call address, the general focused on the ease that the U.S. Air Force moves people, pallets and equipment and employs precision airpower also makes it easy to take that synchronized effort for granted.

General North's visit included stops to see Airmen and local workers doing the mission. He toured the flight line, Kyrgyz Air Navigation Tower, 376th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Firehouse, 376th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Guard Mount, 376th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron Lodging and Learning Resource Center, 376th Expeditionary Medical Group, 376th Expeditionary Operations Group and coalition forces around Manas AB.
