Testing the JP8
ALI BASE, Iraq -- Staff Sgt. Coy Hunter, non-commissioned officer in charge of the fuels laboratory, opens the separatory funnel to drain a few drops of the fuel system icing inhibitor solution to be tested on the refractometer here May 21. The fuels laboratory is the quality controller of fuel and lubricants for all of the JP8 tested on Contingency Operating Base Adder and Ali Base.
