Balad hospital treats Baquba VBIED victims
BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Senior Airman Nina Valdez, 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group laboratory technician, prepares a blood sample taken from an Iraqi patient at the Air Force Theater Hospital here, April 15. The patient was transported, along with nine other injured Iraqi adults, to the AFTH, after a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device exploded in Baquba. Thirty-five Iraqi citizens were killed and 66 injured in the explosion. The attack was the first suicide bomber attack in the region in nearly three months.
