B-52s complete third mission to USCENTCOM theater in '21

B-52 Stratofortress aircraft from Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, flew to the U.S. Central Command theater of operations Jan 27, 2021, during a Bomber Task Force mission, aimed at strengthening partnerships in the region and showcasing the U.S. Air Force Global Reach capability.

Multiple jets participated in the mission, including U.S. Navy and Marine Corps F/A-18s, U.S. Air Force F-15Es, KC-135s and KC-10s, as well as Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SAs.

This long-range, short-duration defensive mission was intended to demonstrate the U.S. military’s ability to deploy airpower anywhere in the world to deter potential aggression and showcase the U.S. commitment to regional security.
