SOUTHWEST ASIA -- U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles from the 335th Fighter Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina and U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt IIs from the 104th Fighter Squadron, assigned to the Maryland Air National Guard, as well as support personnel participate in Desert Flag 2024. They join multinational and regional partners within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility for the three-week exercise, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, April 21 to May 10, 2024.
جنوب غرب آسيا – طائرات إف-15 إي سترايك إيغل التابعة للقوات الجوية الأمريكية من سرب المقاتلات رقم 335 في قاعدة سيمور جونسون الجوية في ولاية كاورلينا الشمالية, وطائرات أي-10 ثوندربولت اا التابعة للقوات الجوية الامريكية من سرب المقاتلات رقم 104, المخصصة للحرس الوطني الجوي في مريلاند, بالاضافة الى افراد الدعم حيث شاركوا جميعهم في تمرين علم الصحراء 2024. حيث التحقوا الى الشركاء الاقليميين متعددي الجنسيات ضمن منطقة مسؤولية القيادة المركزية الامريكية في التمرين الذي يستمر لمدة ثلاثة اسابيع, والذي تستضيفه دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة, للفترة من 21 ابريل/نيسان لغاية 10 مايو/ايار 2024.
Desert Flag provides strategic training, which includes 10 countries and 12 separate airframes, to build upon a cohesive fighting force in the defense of the Arabian Peninsula. Along with the U.S., the participating countries include: France, Germany, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, UAE, and the United Kingdom.
يوفر تمرين علم الصحراء تدريباً استراتيجياً يشمل 10 دول و12 تشكيل جوي منفصل، لبناء قوة قتالية متماسكة في الدفاع عن شبه الجزيرة العربية. إلى جانب الولايات المتحدة، تشمل الدول المشاركة: فرنسا وألمانيا والكويت وعمان والمملكة العربية السعودية وكوريا الجنوبية وتركيا والإمارات العربية المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة.
An A-10 pilot with the 104th FS said the countries have come together at Desert Flag for the same purpose.
قال طيار لطائرة مقاتلة من طراز أي-10 التابع للسرب المقاتل 104 ان جميع الدول قد اجتمعت في تمرين علم الصحراء للغرض نفسه.
“We are all wanting to perfect our craft and the tactical execution of our mission sets,” said the A-10 pilot. “Being able to coordinate and work closely together to work towards that helps build the relationships that are required to operate effectively as a coalition.”
"نريد جميعاً تحسين مهاراتنا والتنفيذ التكتيكي لمجموعة المهام". واضاف "إن القدرة على التنسيق والعمل معاً بشكل وثيق لتحقيق ذلك يساعد في بناء العلاقات المطلوبة للعمل بفعالية كائتلاف".
Desert Flag is a Red Flag-style exercise that gives the A-10s, along with other countries, the opportunity to execute some of their primary mission sets, including close air support, forward air control and combat search and rescue, said the A-10 pilot.
واستطرد طيار طائرة أي-10 "ان تمرين علم الصحراء هو مناورة على طراز العلم الاحمر حيث تمنح طائرة أي-10 الى جانب دول اخرى, الفرصة لتنفيذ بعض مجموعات المهام الأساسية، بما في ذلك الدعم الجوي القريب والسيطرة الجوية الأمامية والبحث والإنقاذ القتالي."
By effectively executing these skill sets, they were able to show their capabilities and build confidence with the partner nations.
ومن خلال التنفيذ الفعال لمجموعات المهارات هذه، تمكنوا من إظهار قدراتهم وبناء الثقة مع الدول الشريكة.
“We are all experiencing more confidence in our coalition partners by seeing how tactically proficient they are and knowing that if we were in a real-world, real-time contingency type scenario, we would be able to effectively integrate,” said the A-10 pilot.
واضاف طيار لطائرة أي-10 "إننا جميعاً نشهد ثقة أكبر في شركائنا في التحالف من خلال رؤية مدى كفاءتهم التكتيكية ومعرفة امكانيتنا ضمن سيناريو الطوارئ في عالم الواقع وفي الوقت الحقيقي، حيث سنكون عندها قادرين على الاندماج بشكل فعال"
After nine years of Desert Flag, it has proven to provide critical touch points for multinational regional partners at the tactical, operational and strategic levels that builds upon the foundational knowledge to operate as a cohesive fighting force.
بعد تسع سنوات من اطلاق تمرين علم الصحراء, فقد اثبت التمرين فعاليته في توفير نقاط اتصال مهمة للشركاء الاقليميين متعددي الجنسيات على كافة المستويات التكتيكية والتشغيلية والاستراتيجية التي تعتمد على المعرفة الاساسية للعمل كقوة قتالية متماسكة.
