Afghan soldier receives prosthetic eye

U.S. Air Force Maj. Michael Parsons, an ophthalmologist assigned to the 455th Expeditionary Medical Group, and U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Vernon Price, a medical technician provide an afghan soldier with a prosthetic eye while working at the Craig Joint Theater Hospital at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The soldier suffered an eye trauma as a result of shrapnel from an explosion and had his eyeball removed during surgery, but the eye muscles and remaining orbital contents remained intact.
