Baltimore Ravens head coach visits Service members

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan --  Baltimore Ravens head coach, John Harbaugh, visited with deployed Service members at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Feb. 6, 2014.

Harbaugh is on a tour through the Middle East with U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond Ordeirno.

"It's a wonderful feeling to have Harbaugh here," said U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Bryant Brown, 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron supply Airman. "I have been a Ravens fan since I was a little kid and they brought the franchise to Baltimore."

Service members and Baltimore Ravens fans gathered in the Koele Dining Facility at Bagram and spent time speaking with the coach about the past two Super Bowls, past and present players, past games and the upcoming 2014-2015 football season.

"Being a fan of a team, you have so many questions, and what better way than to ask the coach directly," explained Brown. "You always want to know how they feel. It was a good feeling to be able to know that he feels how we, the fans, feel when it comes to certain games and plays."

Harbaugh, who has been the Ravens head coach for seven years, is known for his long support of the U.S. Armed Forces. Harbaugh was also a part of a 2009 tour to Baghdad, Iraq, and most recently, he won the NFL's Salute to Service Award.
