San Bernardino native deploys to Afghanistan

FORWARD OPERATING BASE EDINBURGH, Afghanistan -- U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Cristobal Galindo, a native of San Bernardino, Calif. and a joint terminal attack controller, is currently deployed to Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak, Afghanistan.

Tactical air control party members provide assistance and expertise in planning and controlling combat air resources. They also operate and supervise communication nets to support Army ground maneuvers.

Stateside, Galindo is assigned to the 5th Air Support Operations Squadron, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
