Airman saves Kuwaiti man's life
Staff Sgt. Melissa Richardson was eating with a group of Airman in downtown Kuwait City, Kuwait, when a man near suffered cardiac arrest. Richardson saved the man's life after several minutes of resuscitation despite the language barrier, and was coined by the commander of Air Force Central Command then subsequently recognized by the Air Force Joint Chief of Staffs. The corporal’s course, hosted by Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Command Element, is a 14-day formal training event comparable to the Air Force Airman Leadership School normally provided to only Marine corporals to prepare them for leadership as they progress to the next rank.
