Warrior fuels diverted aircraft
SOUTHWEST ASIA - Staff Sgt. Jason Morgan, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, fuels flight, connects a PMU-27 pump to a 500 gallon drum, April 4. The 500 gallon drum will be filled with thermally stable jet fuel. Sergeant Morgan and the fuel will be airlifted to an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia to facilitate the refueling of two U-2 Dragonlady's that were diverted because of poor weather conditions. Python replaced, fuel continues to flow
SOUTHWEST ASIA - Tech Sgt. David Butts, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, fuels flight, puts a hose clamp on a fuel line, Feb 7. The clamp allows the lines to be disconnected without completely draining the fuel to allow a faster transition to the new fuel lines. The fuels flight upgraded the fuel line named "python", changing out 5000ft, upgrading the old worn line ensuring a steady flow of fuel to the base.
