SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Airman 1st Class Brian Holley, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels operator rolls up fuel and air sensing lines on a R-12 Hydrant Servicing Vehicle, Jan 21. The fuel and air sensing lines allow the fuel from the hydrant pit to flow through the truck and into the aircraft safely and at a regulated rate of 750 gallons per minute. SOUTHWEST ASIA - Airmen and Soldiers gather at the Patriot Battery motor pool to go over ground plans Jan. 3 in preparation for the arrival of about 200 Soldiers in the coming weeks. SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Airman 1st Class Ryan Nolan from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron surveys land around a recently moved structure here. Airman Nolan is using a Trimble Survey Rover to perform this operation. The rover uses triangulation with a base station to set coordinates for a base map and allows for up to .01m accuracy of base assets. Airman Nolan performs this task for a variety of purposes such as construction of a maintenance pad and new dormitories in preparation for the arrival of Soldiers from the 5-52 Air Defense Artillery Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas. Air Force amputee returns to Southwest Asia, spends holidays in AOR
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Tech. Sgt. Christopher Ramakka, flight chief from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Explosive Ordnance Flight, opens a care package from his wife, Sonja, and daughters, Mackenzie, 12, and Daphne, 2, in the EOD office here Dec. 24. The Richland, Wash., native is serving his debut deployment after losing his lower left leg when he stepped on a mine in Afghanistan three years ago. He is relocating a phone line for Emergency Management which relocated recently.
