A 332d Air Expeditionary Wing HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter receives fuel from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft, also assigned to the 332d AEW, in Southwest Asia June 12, 2022. The primary mission of the Pave Hawk is to conduct day or night personnel recovery operations into hostile environments to recover isolated personnel during conflict. The HH-60G is also tasked to perform military operations other than conflict, including civil search and rescue, medical evacuation, disaster response, humanitarian assistance, security cooperation/aviation advisory, NASA space flight support, and rescue command and control.
