An F-35A Lightning II approaches a KC-10 Extender for aerial refueling during an operation in support of U.S. Forces – Afghanistan, May 2019. The F-35A conducted the mission with a full external loadout, six GBU-49 small glide munitions and two AIM-9x Sidewinder missiles.
