Deployed medical experts learn skills to identify sexual assault

From across Afghanistan, 22 U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy medical professionals gathered at Bagram Airfield for a Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations (SAFE) training course. The physicians had to conduct an exam using the Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit on simulated victims during the four-day course here. At the completion of training there will be a total of 35 sexual assault forensic examiners in Afghanistan. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Stephenie Wade)
