Airman Kardell Eugene, 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron gate guard, scans a Department of Defense Common Access Card into the Defense Biometric Identification System to ensure the driver (and passengers) has proper clearance to enter the installation Nov. 20, 2012. Once cleared through DBIDS, Eugene directs the vehicle to the search pit to have the entire vehicle searched for explosives, drugs and contraband before it can enter the installation. The squadron's vision is to establish the 379th ESFS as the pre-eminent defense force in the Central Command area of responsibility.
