A U.S. Air Force Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility member carries patients??? luggage during an aeromedical evacuation mission at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Oct. 21, 2012. The aeromedical flights are used to transport injured or recovered patients with the NATO Role 3 hospital and the CASF based at Kandahar Airfield. The CASF staff at Kandahar is 28 members strong and performs tasks ranging from helping medevac patients off of the helicopters they come in on to providing warm beds for their outgoing temporary residents.
