Chapel, first responders honor 9/11 heroes

Tech. Sgt. Scott Doeppke reads the actions of Rick Rescola during a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at the Wings of Hope Chapel, Sept. 10, 2012, Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan. Doeppke is a 376th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron NCO in charge of the Armory who is deployed from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Ca. and is a native of La Porte, Ind. Doeppke honored the actions of the New York City Police Department and those of military veterans, like Rick Rescola, a retired Army Lieutenant working in the World Trade Center and credited with saving countless lives on September 11, 2001.
