Rear Admiral Carter Visits CTG 57.2

U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Matthew Carter, Patrol and Reconnaissance Force Fifth/Seventh Fleet commander coins Aviation Technician Jonathan Pell for leading a team that repaired a critical radar system restoring operability to the mission that would have been delayed without the asset. Pell is assigned to CTG 57.2 as part of VP-46. They are based at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia, August 15, 2012. The primary mission of CTG 57.2 is to conduct reconnaissance and maritime patrol operations throughout the 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility in support of the global war on terrorism.
