He was part of a group of ten Airmen from the 438th Air Expeditionary Wing who paid tribute to U.S. Air Force Major David L. ?Klepto? Brodeur by doing a "Klepto" workout of four rounds of 27 box jumps, 20 'burpees' and 11 'squat cleans' for time. Brodeur lost his life April 27, 2011, during a shooting incident at the Afghan Command and Control Center in the Afghanistan air force headquarters, North Kabul International Airport.
