SOUTHWEST ASIA - U.S. Army Sgt. Jamie Carpenter grabs Senior Airman Jorge Rosario at the Phantom Center March 9, 2012. Airmen and Soldiers from the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing trained during a combatives course to learn 18 different self-defense techniques. At the end of 40 hours of instruction, each graduate was certified as a basic combatives instructor. Carpenter is assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regimen and is deployed from Fort Bragg, N.C.
