Largest Warm and Dry distribution in Kyrgyzstan since 2009

More than 200 blankets are stacked for distribution at an Operation Warm and Dry event in Balykchy City, Kyrgyzstan, Jan. 15, 2012. Along with the blankets, more than 1,000 coats were also given out to Kyrgyz Republic citizens in need in Balykchy, making it the largest distribution since the program's creation in 2009. Operation Warm and Dry is a humanitarian assistance program run by the Theater Security Cooperation division at the Transit Center at Manas. This year the program will invest approximately $300,000 in coats and blankets manufactured in the Kyrgyz Republic, all of which will be distributed to Kyrgyz citizens in 53 locations throughout the country spanning four oblasts.
