Firefighters from the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron participated in a major accident response exercise Dec. 5, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The exercise was designed to test the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing’s ability to respond appropriately to an aircraft incident. Exercises validate training and provide a report card of the wing’s performance during high threat and high stress conditions. Exercises provide evaluators a means to validate processes, identify exploitable weaknesses and distribute best practices throughout the base. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Paul Labbe)
