Maj. John Wiebe, a personnel director for U.S. Special Operations Command Central, speaks about his uncle, Chief Peter J. Ganci, during a memorial ceremony Nov. 22, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Ganci was Chief of the New York City Fire Department during the attacks on the World Trade Center, Sept. 11, 2001. He was one of the 343 first responders who lost their lives that day.
