PMEL: Pride in Precision

Senior Airman Brandy D’Alessandro, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron wave form analysis and generation journeyman, calibrates a spectrum analyzer used to discover signal wavelengths Nov. 15, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. A spectrum analyzer measures the magnitude of an input signal versus frequency within the full frequency range of an instrument. D’Alessandro works in the squadron’s Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory, where Airmen service equipment from approximately 320 units in the area of responsibility, making sure that more than 15,000 pieces of test equipment are properly calibrated and in the hands of warfighters. D’Alessandro, a native of Palm Beach, Fla., is deployed from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. (U.S. Air Force photo by/Senior Airman Paul Labbe)
