Staff Sgt. Tara Crook, Joint Medical Operations Center preventive medicine mentor, shares a laugh with Dr. Mohammad Mustafa during a meeting at the Afghan National Army basic training facilities. Dr. Mustafa is the head of preventive medicine at the ANA hospital in Herat. The JMOC team advises Afghan security forces on food sanitation and hygiene, vector control, prevention of communicable and infectious diseases, and immunization practices.
