The 824th Quartermaster Company, Det. 10 rigging facility is named after Spc. Eric T. Burri, who was killed in combat by an improvised explosive device on June 7, 2005. Burri was the second U.S. Army rigger to die in combat since World War II. Burri was assigned to the 623rd Quartermaster Company, 1st Corps Support Command at Fort Bragg, N.C.
