Staff Sgt. Benjamin Bagnato, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator, excavates using a JCB 3CX Backhoe Loader during repair work on a high-voltage line, Sept. 27, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. "Dirt Boyz", as they are affectionately known, perform a variety of tasks to include foreign object debris sweeps, patchwork on roads, parking lots and runways, emplacement of tons of gravel and dirt, and trench excavation for electrical and plumbing lines.
