Inspection in deployed location gets jets back in the air sooner

A member of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics phase team sits inside of a U-2 as he conducts a regularly-scheduled deep-dive inspection of the aircraft Sept. 1, 2011 at an air base in Southwest Asia. The inspection takes the team of 14 civilians 19 days from start to finish and encompasses 450 special inspection items that are critical to keeping the aircraft flying.
