An Iraqi Army Aviation Command pilot, oversees simulation operations of a MI-171 helicopter simulator, as a pilot is run through a flight scenario at Taji Air Base, Iraq, Aug. 10, 2011. The simulator operator controls the flight simulation for the pilot in training, injecting flight control adjustments on the fly. The new $4.8 million simulator provides invaluable training to Iraqi Army Aviation Command pilots, allowing them to experience multiple flight scenarios, including emergency conditions in a controlled, safe environment.
