Unique system allows troops to 'see' around mountains

Airman 1st Class Cameron Bilyeu enters data into the roll-on, beyond-line-of-sight enhancement system to configure it for operational use during a training session at the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, Aug. 5. The ROBE system dramatically increases the reach of tactical communications making the KC-135 Stratotanker a communications center capable of relaying decision-making information around the world. Bilyeu is deployed to the 22nd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron as a boom operator. He is deployed here from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Tammie Moore)
