Recovery of Afghan Mi-17 Helicopter

Nuristan, Afghanistan. Army Pathfinders of Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade Fort Drum, NY dissasemble a Afghan Air Force Mi-17 helicopter in the Nuristan province, Afghanistan. The Pathfinders are tasked to provide security around the perimeter and disassemble the crashed aircraft so it can be sling loaded by a CH-47 Chinook and taken to an airbase. Photo by Tech Sgt.
