U.S. Huey advisors step back, Iraqi instructors take lead

CAMP TAJI, Iraq -- Huey helicopter pilots from Iraqi Army Aviation Command's Squadron 20 set up night vision goggles on their helmets prior to the final UH-1 Huey mission with American instructors on board March 15. After more than five years in the cockpit with Iraqi copilots, 721st Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron UH-1 Huey pilots have stepped out of the cockpit to advise their Iraqi partners on more strategic issues from the ground.
