Airman 1st Class Brandon Shamhart, 807th Expeditionary Air Support Operations SquadronTactical Air Control Party Radio Operator Maintenance and Driver, listens to the chatter of a C-130 Hercules aircrew via his radio in a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle at a dirt landing zone in the Zabul Province of Afghanistan. Airman Shamhart was there to help make sure the dirt landing zone was safe for a cargo carrying C-130 Hercules to land and provide the aircrew with any pertinent information via radio communications. The aircrew was delivering needed cargo for one of the nearby military outposts. Airman Shamhart is deployed from the 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron, Vilseck Army Airfield, Germany.
