Kyrgyz Parliament members witness aerial refuel capability

TRANSIT CENTER AT MANAS, Kyrgyzstan - Col. Dwight Sones, 376th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, welcomes Kyrgyz parliamentarians at a reception before a first-ever aerial refuel flight for members of the Kyrgyz Parliament 16 Feb. Parliament members were taken on a KC-135 Stratotanker for a demonstration refueling mission with a C-17 Globemaster III over the skies of Kyrgyzstan. This demonstration of air power highlighted to the parliamentarians the role of the Aerial Refuel mission here, one of the Transit Center's four mission pillars. The other three pillars which were highlighted in the pre-flight briefing are Onward Movement, Airlift and Humanitarian Assistance. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Daniel Nathaniel)
