Senior Airman Jacob Cleer, a heavy equipment operator assigned to the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, pulverizes a section damaged runway pavement with a jackhammer at an undisclosed air base here Dec. 10, 2010. Airman Cleer's coworkers will collect the bits of excavated concrete with a sweeper truck before filling the cavity with fresh mortar.
