SOUTHWEST ASIA -- An aerial view of Afghanistan can be seen from the cockpit of a C-130 Hercules assigned to the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing. U.S. forces serving on the front lines often receive supplies via ground transport, but airdropping can be a safer option because of the number of Improvised Explosive Devices along supply routes. On Nov. 21, 2010, the wing's 737th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron performed its first airdrop mission into Afghanistan since the wing stood up more than 10 years ago. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Ken Gjone)
