Master Sgt. Jesse Mathes, 332nd Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Viper Aircraft Maintenance Unit production superintendant, inspects the aircraft’s forms looking for jobs that have not been completed Aug. 6, 2010, Joint Base Balad, Iraq. Checking the forms is the first step in performing an exceptional release inspection. An exceptional release is an inspection performed by production supervisors. During this inspection, the aircraft and its forms are scrutinized for any noticeable aircraft defects or documentation errors.
