U.S. Air Force Col. Blaine Holt, the director of the Transit Center at Manas, speaks to the people of Manas Village, Kyrgyzstan, during a Victory Day ceremony May 9, 2010, celebrating the end of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and the Nazi regime in 1945. Colonel Holt gave his speech partly in the Kyrgyz language. During the event, four living veterans from Manas were honored, and a memorial wall was unveiled with about 50 names etched in stone of village patriots who died during the war.
