The Mayor of Manas, Mr. Beshimbaev Kabylbek (left), honors a highly-decorated veteran of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) during a Victory Day ceremony in Manas Village, Kyrgyzstan, May 9, 2010. This day marks the end of WWII and the Nazi regime in 1945. During the event, four living veterans from Manas were honored, and a memorial wall was unveiled with about 50 names etched in stone of village patriots who died during the war.
