BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- An F-16C Fighting Falcon from the 4th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron takes off here Jan. 3. The 4th EFS flies missions daily in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The F-16 can fly more than 500 miles, deliver it’s weapons with superior accuracy, defend itself against enemy aircraft and return to its starting point.
