BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- Afghan nationals, members of the Bagram Falconer Team, allow Captain James Antone to hold a falcon during a photo opportunity in front of the F-16 Fighting Falcon here, Oct. 13, 2009. Afghan locals assist the Air Force by using falcons to scare away local birds which could harm transiting airplanes and aircrew. The Falconer team is contracted with the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Safety office to minimize the potential of a local bird strike with a transiting aircraft.
