Celebration of Eid ul-Fitr

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- Staff Sgt. Majbritt Young, a Joint Task Force MED east/455th Expeditionary Medical Group pharmacy technician, follows the lead of the dancers around her during a celebration of Eid ul-Fitr, the Muslim feast that marks the end of fasting for Ramadan here, Sept. 22, 2009. Ramadan was the month in which the first verses of the Qur'an were claimed to have been revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Ramadan is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until sunset.
