Senior Airman Marice Wilson, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron force protector: “When the attack happened on Sept. 11th, I was still in high school...It really hit close to home for me because my aunt, retired Lt. Col. Dianne Harriel and a close family friend, Mrs. Janice Scott, were both working at the Pentagon at the time. My Aunt Dianne lived through it, but Mrs. Janice did not....I had never thought about how important our military was until after the attack. I think 9/11 had a lot to do with my decision to join the military. I would do anything to make sure no one ever has the chance to attack the U.S. like that again, even if it means giving my own life.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Christopher Hubenthal)
