Senior Airman Dolton Olizzi of the 22nd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron: “I was a freshman in high school at the time…I remember that classes just stopped all day and everybody was fixed on what was being played on the news. Some of us actually knew people who were working in the World Trade Center, and emotions were high. I was just shocked and confused that this was happening. It really struck home...As an Airman, (remembering 9/11) makes our mission that much more important. We are in Iraq right now to help make sure this doesn’t happen again. It feels like we are truly fighting for something.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Christopher Hubenthal)
