BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Senior Airman Rachel Snider, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Command Post controller, is the Warrior of the Week. Airman Snider is deployed from Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas and is originally from California. Airman Snider functions as the 455th AEW Commander’s primary command and control link during day-to-day operations at Bagram Airfield. She monitors and coordinates support agencies’ response to all emergency situations occurring on base. Additionally she tracks assigned and transient aircraft, collects, analyzes and submits time-critical data to headquarters. Airmen Snider’s supervisors nominated her because she is behind the scenes making things happen. She is the happy voice that on the radio, that everyone knows and hears but never really gets to see.
